study tour

It was a nice chilly friday afternoon and our batch was ready to go on a local study tour to a nearby Diesel Locomotive Shed where the train diesel engines come for maintainance purpose...our institute bus was ready and we reached the bus about half an hour early...

Basking in the warm sun,we waited for our tour guide to come who infact was a assistant professor of our department..we waited and waited but he was no where to be seen..We were happy that our lab got cancelled bcoz of the tour (Lab was that of maity sir and everyone of mechanical dept including those passed out will tell u abt him!!!! :D).....the bus was to leave at 2pm and at 230 he came and started scolding us as we were late...he wanted that the bus should have picked him up from his house which we didnt knew...so after all these events finally we were ready to go....

and it was a nice trip to the shed....blah blah blah...and the rest is history...the point is there are some teachers who understand what the students want as they were also students at some point of time...but there are others who simply have forgotten their roots and think themselves as some kind of a hero...as if we are slaves??

sry the goa story will come after some time as there are many things to write....till then...chill!!!!

Khandadhar

Those of you who have read my first blog must be wondering why i decided to write something that was absolutely horrific.Well, the reason is that i badly wanted to share this with all.. :D

Leave that topic. This one is about our branch picnic to a place named Khandadhar (Khanda means Sword & Dhar means waterfall)...It was an experience that was quite opposite to the incident mentioned in my previous blog-simply majestic,Mother nature at its grandest self, water gushing down from a height of around 200-300 metres, greenery surrounding the chilly winter day, the sound of wind gushing through the leaves of trees....It was simply out of this world (the fotos say it all!!!)..and to our surprise, medical students of a nearby Medical College also were having picnic at the same spot.

The trip to that place was equally enjoyable. We had to go through some really kachha roads and it took us around 3 hours to reach there. The waterfall was visible from quite some distance. It looked like a white sword and i suppose the name comes from this-Khandadhar.

The water was icy cold and my frenz decided to jump into it..At first, i decided to restrain but after some time even i couldnt help myself from joining them in the icy cold water...and i tell you, the sensation in my legs and hands just went away...i felt completely numb...

We all felt great and mighty relieved by getting away from the hectic and busy time table that we had..kudos to biswa(one of my close friend) who organised the whole trip...

It was gr8 fun..and i hope this bond of friendship remains with us forever...stay tuned!!!bcoz next time, its a trip to the land of sun sand and beaches-Goa!!!
